History & Specification: 18hp (2.3 litre) straight 6 O.H.V engine with hydraulic tappets, 4 gears manual floor change. First registered Jan 1953, 57000 miles on the clock may be genuine. History file with documents dating back to 29000miles in 1968 . Length 15 foot 5 inches. width 5 foot 8 inches. Fuel consumption 20-25 MPG. A good, smart, sound and reliable car ready to use.
Mechanics: The engine runs very smoothly, and pulls well. Starting is easy in any weather. The gearbox is good and tight . The brakes have been relined not many miles ago although squeak a bit. Steering OK, no excessive play. Stainless steel exhaust.
Body & Chassis. The body work has been re-sprayed a while ago and the overall is generally smart.. Smart paint work but some minor blemishes (one scratch and a few bubbles) Some micro blistering on the middle bonnet and a bit on the roof. The metal work is good, no rust holes.. Some bits of wear to the chrome-work in places. Tyres OK, two new ones. ( spare minimum ) 17 inch wheels. Built in mechanical jacking system. Doors all lock and window winders work. The chassis is good. There has been one repair towards the rear o/side.
Electrics: In good general order. Instruments work. Reasonably good beam on the headlights . Rear flashers added in addition to the semaphore indicators.

Interior: Very good original interior. No rips in the black leather or else where. I think the carpets may be replacements. Wood trim good. Head lining good. Instrument all present and working. Handles and catches all OK. |
