Fretted zither fiddle.

A fiddle shape bowed  fretted zither circa late 19th century early 20th. Stamped Kurt Schultz. London. A well figured two piece back of 35.8cm. In good condition. No apparent cracks or damage to body or neck. One minor shrinkage crack to the finger board. Frets all good. Please note: These instruments are strung in reverse to a violin and constructed as such. The bass bar and sound post also the opposite side to a violin. Could do with new strings to suit. Known in Germany as  Streichmelodion  -Streichzither  -  Schossgeige   £395
