A Maggini style C1900. Original violin from one of  Don Rico's Gypsy band fiddlers. In good general condition and plays well although it has has a short crack repair to the back (from inside). The band was UK based but played internationally. The London Coliseum was a regular venue for them in the 1930s. I came across this violin by chance and knew the history as my aunt had played trumpet in the band. The label was tied to the case. With the violin are two copies of photos of the band, label and original (rather tight fitting) case and two bows needing attention. £350
