Minstrel banjo

A  19th century seven string fretless banjo. Labelled Keith Prowse & Co on the resonator back. Probably circa 1875-1880. Bone ended brass machine tuners, wide neck 4cm at the nut. The neck is good no warping. Wooden pot with screw tensioners. In good original condition. Currently with steel strings but really should be gut. Overall length 93cm. , Vellum width 25cm. A deep plunky sound. String length 65cm string height half way 3.5mm.With original wooden case. £265.
